In depth

Verdict

Highly Liquid has been a little costly to follow so far, but Willie Jarvis' filly is given one more chance to get off the mark here, although the in-form Prince Of Gold, the promising Regent's Secret and lightly-raced Go For Success are likely to give her plenty of opposition in this decent Classified contest. After a nice reappearance at Windsor, Highly Liquid started odds-on favourite for a maiden at Warwick but badly disappointed in fourth place. In hindsight, Pat Eddery probably went off far too quickly that day, and if Simon Whitworth rides her with a bit more restraint here we fancy the daughter of Entrepreneur to get off the mark. She ran arguably her best race on her sole juvenile race on heavy ground, so any rain would not be a problem. Prince Of Gold comes here on a hat trick, and Reg Hollinshead's colt showed a good attitude when narrowly beating Arpeggio in similar race at Nottingham last time, so is unlikely to go down without a fight and clearly comes into the reckoning. Regent's Secret ran well at big odds in a hot handicap at Goodwood last time, finishing third, and Richard Hannon's charge is likely to go close if reproducing that form while the lightly-raced Go For Success appeals as one who could improve significantly on what he has acheieved so far and any market support for Ed Dunlop's gelding could be worth noting.
