In depth

Verdict

Can't Remember should relish the stiffer test having been done for speed at Hereford but he's weighted to his very best and makes little appeal as a betting proposition. More interesting is Evan Williams' Born To Be Wilde, a horse bred to appreciate this step up in distance and starting life in handicaps off a workable rating. However, he may not offer much in the way of value and is taken on with STAFFORD CHARLIE. Our pick had looked less than natural over his obstacles prior to showing improved form at Towcester last time, in the process jumping with greater fluency. If he can build on that now returned to a more suitable trip then there may be a race in him off this rating, especially as he's versatile ground-wise. Najca De Thaix took a modest fifth behind a subsequent winner on his handicap debut but needs to build on that if he's to feature.
