It says much about the race that the inconsistent 11-year-old Whatcanisay, beaten 25 lengths as favourite last time, may well start favourite again. He's certainly a contender and conditions should suit, but we'll take a chance on a less exposed horse capable of much better in DROMORE HILL. Charlie Mortlock's horse looks an out-and-out stayer and should relish the stiff three miles on testing ground, having just been done for pace on a better surface at Lingfield. He's tried in a first-time visor and could be invigorated by that so, while we're hopeful as opposed to confident, he holds solid enough credentials. Shannons Boy is a factor on old form but he was pulled up on his return from a lengthy absence in February and can only be watched along with No More Whispers, who fell when last over fences.
