    Verdict

Low grade fare and the eye is inevitably drawn to KORNGOLD. He showed his first form of note when staying on well close home to claim third spot upped to 1m2f at Goodwood last time. Like many a John Dunlop inmate before him, he'll assuredly improve with time and distance, so this longer trip looks ideal. Merton Lady is also relatively unexposed and she gave a good account on her handicap bow at Wolverhampton. Closing to the line, she was beaten less than two lengths and has no stamina issues. Cuckoo Rock shaped nicely after five months off last time and deserves consideration on her first attempt at the trip. James Pollard makes most appeal of the Llewellyn trio.
