Verdict

ARZAL can take advantage of this big drop in class to resume winning ways. He disappointed in the Imperial Cup last time but his earlier sixth in the betfair Hurdle at Newbury is easily the best form on offer in this and Paul O'Brien's claim negates his penalty. Perspicace is probably the one most capable of cashing in if the selection fails to deliver again. He made a winning start at Taunton and should have plenty more to offer. Global Thrill won a maiden hurdle at Newton Abbot last month but this is tougher and all-weather winner Warrigal lacks both experience and a recent run.
