Verdict

The smart Tataniano ran out a well backed winner of this race for Paul Nicholls two years ago so it will be interesting to see what level of confidence there is behind Newton Abbot runner-up MEREHEAD and a market check is advised in assessing this race. Kartanian was impressive at Worcester but carrying a penalty in what is potentially a stronger race won't be easy which could also be a problem for Royal Scoundrel who has presumably had his problems. Pentopyn Harry and A Splash Of Green are related to bumper winners and could go well at a price with Blues And Twos, Don Pooleoni, Hawkaller and Golden Chieftain others to note.
