In depth

Verdict

A fair case can be put forward for most of these but WOODLARK ISLAND has been a paragon of consistency over both hurdles and fences and can be relied upon to run his race. His attacking tactics mean he is always there to be shot at but hopefully he can have most of these on the stretch some way out. Tenby Jewel has been improving in novice hurdle company but looks harshly treated for this handicap debut and J'Adhere makes greater appeal as the prime threat. He has looked much happier reverting to timber. Wake Board sluiced home in a Catterick seller and merits respect despite conceding weight all round.
