Verdict

Bladoun was only beaten a head in a bumper here in February and you'd expect David Pipe to find him a race over hurdles sooner rather than later. But normal progress should see rong class='v5-txt-up'>ROGER BEANTOWNrong> in the winner's enclosure following his second to The New One at Newton Abbot. He was beaten 26 lengths but the winner is clearly very useful and, on the evidence of a subsequent win at Cheltenham, likely to take high rank among this season's novice crop. Orabora may need this but still has more scope than the disappointing Ron and Saroque.
