    Verdict

Merrymadcap, Ermine Grey, Having A Ball and The Grey One are those that make the shortlist and the vote goes to Merrymadcap. The selection returned to the turf last month at Bath where he was not disgraced finishing third in what was a moderate handicap. Although beaten a long way it was an encouraging return and Ryan Moore renews his association with him. Ermine Grey has the benefit of a low draw and could go well at a price. Having A Ball was a winner on his penultimate outing albeit a moderate Kempton handicap. Hold up tactics did not appear to work last time while The Grey One could be well handicapped on the best of his form. Milton Bradleys' horses were woefully out of form for the best part of a year but have been showing signs of a revival. Merrymadcap makes most appeal on his Bath outing and gets the vote in what is a typically wide open Chepstow handicap.
