In depth

Verdict

A poor handicap rounds off the card and there is very little between many of the leading fancies but the principals look to be Oh So Rosie, Cormorant Wharf and Critical Stage and we will take a chance on the last named. The selection ran as if in need of the run when well beaten last time out behind Theatre Lady. However he has conditions to suit here and off what looks a fair mark he is taken to score. Oh So Rosie rates the main danger on her best form but she was disappointing off this mark last time out so can not be backed with any confidence. Cormorant Wharf is another that could go well as he was a fair fourth behind Woodbury last time over six furlongs and with the step back up to a mile sure to suit he has definite place claims. Chandelier has a top jockey booked for this type of race so is worth noting in the market, while any support for Lord Chamberlain should also be noted as he has dropped to a very low mark but he needs everything to fall just right and for the winner we return to Critical Stage.
