In depth

Verdict

Neutrino may have needed his recent outing at Windsor and should go close in this company, however Darko Karim may just have the edge this afternoon and is taken to land the spoils, Maktu may do best of the others. The selection put in a much improved performance at Bath recently, chasing home John Dunlop's Asaateel. The improvement may have been brought about by the step up in trip and softer ground, so with conditions again ideal he looks the one to beat. Neutrino is a typical Luca Cumani handicapper that will improve with his racing. He showed plenty of promise in three outings last season and could be the one to hustle up our selection. Maktu is not harshly treated for his handicap debut after three promising efforts last season and should be vying for some place money. The pick of the remainder should be Cape Enterprise, but for the winner it has to be Darko Karim.
