In depth

Verdict

Bernard Llewellyn is regularly represented by multiple entries here and fields two course and distance winners in Tijori and FILATORE in this open handicap with preference for the latter. The Teofilio gelding scored here in May before running a fair race when upped in class at Ripon last time. Trip and ground are fine for this ex-Irish colt and, back at Chepstow, he's taken to revert to winning ways. Double Cee is being tried at much longer trips by his new yard but has yet to win over further than 1m1f while Story Writer remains a maiden but showed plenty of staying potential last time at Lingfield when upped dramatically in trip. He was easily beaten that day, despite the winning distance, but showed more than enough to be a factor here.
