Verdict

The top class and ultra-consistent FORPADYDEPLASTERER has outstanding claims of ending his run of silver medals with everything in his favour although he does face a serious rival in Tataniano. The highly regarded youngster was brought along steadily last season but proved that he was capable of living up to his lofty reputation with a stunning display in a Grade One novice chase at Aintree. Any rain would be a negative as he tackles a proven top flight performer for the first time but he looks capable of living with the best at the very least and could develop into a live contender for the Champion Chase. However, he still has to prove that he can step up to the top grade and, as there's likely to be little between the pair in the market, then the value looks to lie with the Irish raider. The remainder shouldn't be good enough to win this if the top two run to their form but it will be well worth keeping an eye on Gauvain who returns from injury for a new yard whilst Oh Crick runs this track well and he can pick up third prize.
