Verdict

An open heat where BURREN LEGEND is suggested to follow-up his Newbury win, while opposition may come strongest in the form of Boychuk and Wind Instrument. The Richard Rowe-trained pick has gone up 7lbs for that win at the Berkshire track, but the form has been franked by Dom D'Orgeval, who ran well at Aintree over the weekend. He acts on a sound surface and stays at least this far, and he could be one to catch right again today. Boychuk will relish these conditions and is sliding in the weights, although recent efforts have been none-too-encouraging. Even so, he goes well here and is from a yard in great shape, so a return to form is not out of the question. Wind Instrument seems to go on any ground and is just 3lbs higher than when scoring at Sandown in February. He is not the most consistent performer, so after being thrashed last time he might just come back with a good run. Shouldhavehadthat represents a stable going well and has now dropped to 1lb above his last winning mark, so the handicapper has given him a squeak, and he goes on the ground, so a better showing is now expected. We'll take Burren Legend to score.
