Verdict

Mith Hill looks a player however CRAZY EYES is on the upgrade and tops a shortlist consisting of Goldan Jess, Double Hit and Quelqu'un Comme Toi. Charlie Mann has given this Accordion gelding a break since completing back-to-back wins at Cartmel and Newton Abbott. On each occasion it has been stamina that has looked his forte so this trip at this track looks tailor-made for the fellow and he can prosper. This is a competitive heat however and improvement is expected from Colombard (last hurdles form franked by the winner), Lord Ragnar (first time in a handicap), and Lawgiver (softer ground in his favour). Goldan Jess has been holding his form well and jockey Kyle James knows him well which is a bonus, whilst it would be no surprise to see improvement from the Irish challengers Lock Mor Lad, Wontfools Befools and Rossbeigh. The Apprentice returns to hurdles for this seasonal reappearance, however more interesting rivals are Ffos Las Diamond with a promising jockey booked and course winner French Saulaie with the best jockey in the race on top. Fredo and Mith Hill give trainer Ian Williams a strong hand, however it is Crazy Eyes who can hypnotise his rivals by completing the hat-trick.
