In depth

Verdict

Manhattan Boy, Daryal and She's Supersonic are three against the field in another wide open affair, where the narrow vote goes to Manhattan Boy. The selection won with plenty in hand last time out when beating Widely Accepted and, in receipt of all his weight for age allowances under conditions that suit, he will be hard to beat. Daryal rates the main danger as he won well last time when beating Guru but all his best form is on heavy ground and he is taken on with this in mind. She's Supersonic hails from a very shrewd Irish yard and should be noted in the market as she also won well last time when beating My Shadow but her overall profile leaves her with a little to find. Fait Le Jojo is game and consistent and is sure to have the race run to suit. But he looks vulnerable under top weight. Of the outsiders, Shining Strand has the ability to go close off this mark if he ordains to use it, but that is a big if, so for the winner we are happy to return to the unexposed and progressive Manhattan Boy.
