Verdict

MY PETRA has a live chance of taking this heat but Too Forward could be one to run a big race at a price whilst drying ground could see Three Mirrors run a big race. Drying ground would also be to the benefit of My Petra who is reported to not want it too soft but she ran well enough on good to soft at Ascot when narrowly going down to Gwanako. She also showed that day that she sees out this trip well enough and this tough mare has more to offer as a chaser. Oslot should be all the better for his reappearance and may not be handicapped out of this whilst Hobbs Hill is an exciting prospect if unscarred by a horror fall at Kempton. Il Duce has run some sound races here but is always vulnerable and Three Mirrors appeals as a likelier sort for top honours but wouldn't want too much cut. Private Be is a solid sort who should be in the mix whilst Fier Normand could improve on his two runs this season now that the yard has found a bit of form. Hold Em moves into handicap company for the first time over fences on quite an interesting mark, particularly when the excellent Rhys Flint's claim is taken into account, and he's another that makes some appeal. Too Forward won this race in 2007 and is well handicapped on his old form; he is entering the veteran stage but shaped really well on his seasonal reappearance for a new yard and could run a big race. He will be vulnerable to younger legs though and My Petra has those.
