    Verdict

David Nicholls has a fairly quiet time of late but his runner Trinculo has an obvious chance at the weights here and has ground conditions to suit so he may be worth chancing in this moderate contest where the main dangers look to be Witchry and Throw The Dice. The last mentioned has run well under testing conditions before but is probably better on a faster surface and he has plenty to find with the selection at the weights anyway. Viewforth is better treated than most and does have his ground as well so he could be a bigger threat than Westbrook Blue, who has given little sign for encouragement in recent starts in admittedly better races. Witchry would have claims on the pick of his form but that has all been on a faster surface and on this ground a safer option looks to be Trinculo, who gets the vote.
