Verdict

BLUE DUNE looked progressive when easily landing a C&D handicap earlier this month but his young rider set too strong a pace when returning over 1m6f and that run is best ignored. He looks well enough treated to return to winning ways while Bijou Dan was beaten a distance when the selection was successful here and is finding it difficult to land an elusive 15th career success. Mason Hindmarsh found 1m5f too short at Musselburgh and should do better over this trip while Ad Value will have needed his latest run after a break and could be given a chance on his victory at Musselburgh in April. Ctappers ran poorly over hurdles last time but won a 2m2f handicap on the level at Chepstow in August so if it comes down to a real test of stamina he won't be found wanting.
