Thrust Control won at Southwell earlier this month and Kingswinford is more than capable of making his presence felt in this grade if fully wound up following his winter break. But Dandy Nicholls appears to have all the bases covered in this by saddling Slikback Jack, Fremen and ROYAL DIGNITARY. The former is better on the all-weather but the latter pair have won 29 races between them on turf and there probably isn't a lot between them at the weights. Preference is just for Andrew Mullen's mount, who is probably better suited by the trip than his fellow veteran and is well drawn for a front-runner. Apache Ridge is best of the rest but his last 10 races have been over 6f.
