Verdict

SAVEIRO jumped really well when slamming his rivals at Wetherby last week and a 7lb penalty shouldn't be enough to prevent a quick follow up. He finished eight lengths clear of today's rival Zazamix but was eased down and the latter is unlikely to get much closer while Storm Surge was pulled up after a bad mistake. The latter is better than that as he showed when scoring at Haydock in December and could prove the main threat. Blacktoft has been disappointing since landing a novice chase in 2010 but will have needed the run at Taunton last month while Gentleman Jeff ran very well in a handicap here last month but poorly at Market Rasen nine days ago.
