    Verdict

Conquerant has raced over trips from a mile to 1m4f and is looking one-paced so the drop in trip isn't certain to suit. Two Smart ran easily her best race to date when narrowly beaten by Le Laitier over 6f at Pontefract where he stayed on well. The going that day was fast and similar conditions will see her go close but FOXCOVER gets the vote. Richard Fahey's charge, a half-brother to five winners including Mister Manannan, hasn't run since being narrowly beaten at Thirsk in May but there should be more to come and he can go one better. The remainder look to be playing for a place at best.
