In depth

Verdict

London Express should prove too strong here with Youmzain and Maroussies Wings the others to consider. The selection showed plenty of promise in his four races last season and he bolted up on his reappearance at Pontefract when he beat Shape Up. Today's extra furlong should suit and this progressive colt looks like one to stay on the right side of. Youmzain rates the main danger as he won well last seen out when beating Genre at Goodwood. If he has wintered well then he will have strong claims but he may just be best watched today on his first racecourse appearance since last August. Maroussies Wings ran well in a Listed race when last seen out so this filly from the Patrick Haslam is certainly worth noting in the market, although she did need her first run last season and may benefit from this outing as well. Reveur is stepped-up in trip but she was disappointing last time and for the winner we will stick with the progressive London Express.
