Verdict

Bahamian Ballet looked on good terms with himself when scoring at Windsor and he is taken to follow up today at the main expense of Handsome Cross and Rainbow Bay. Ed McMahon's son of Bahamian Bounty has been raised four pounds in the weights for his recent success however that may not be enough to score him winning again as he showed a good attitude in a blanket finish that day. His last trip to Catterick Bridge was fairly forgettable as he dwelt in the stalls and could never get competitive, however as long as the rain doesn't come then he looks sure to run another big race (yet to run on softer than good). Handsome Cross is slowly inching down the weights and David Nicholls' gelding should appreciate this easier race; he is effective on any ground but has now gone 17 runs without a win. Coseadrom travels over from Ireland for this fairly modest kitty and must be respected; however one win in 25 starts means that he can be passed over. Rainbow Bay is back on a winning mark, whilst Strensall is 11lbs lower than his highest, so this course and distance winner therefore deserves respect. At a price Nusoor could run well now down in the weights, however Bahamian Ballet is taken to win again.
