    Verdict

Cahal scored over 7f here in April and didn't look to have the pace for this trip at Ripon last time though he did have Shikari behind. Goadby is still a maiden and though rarely beaten far could do with some respite from the handicapper. Several of these ran in the race won by Mey Blossom at Beverley last week. HAZARD WARNING came out best in third with Classical Diva just over a length behind in fifth, Red Cape in sixth and Spoken Word eighth. The former appeared unlucky in-running as he was making ground fast when impeded at a crucial stage. The extra furlong will suit James Given's charge and he can gain compensation.
