Rather appropriately we finish with yet another competitive handicap where we marginally prefer the chances of top-weight DANCING MAITE in front of Desert Dreamer and This Ones For Eddy. The pick was a cosy winner of and apprentice handicap under today's pilot last time out and has been penalised to the tune of five pounds. However with his jockey this time allowed to claim three most of that rise has been negated and he is proven in most conditions. This is the optimum trip for Desert Dreamer and while he is up two pounds for a narrow success last time out he would prefer the rain to stay away to be seen at his best. This Ones For Eddy is 11lbs above his last winning mark but has been running well under similar marks recently so he can be involved but again would probably prefer things quicker under hoof. Kargan should go well off bottom weight while Hiccups is weighted to mount a challenge at a course he likes. A tricky end to the day where we think Dancing Mate can be a punter's friend.
