Verdict

GUNG HO had placed form on soft ground in his native France and ran well at Bath on his first start for Tony Newcombe last month. An apprentice's allowance makes today's task that much easier and he gets the nod. Halwaytocootehill can figure at this level and Omega Omega finished closer over a shorter trip on her latest start. Operateur has been placed off his current mark on more than one occasion of late but hasn't raced since June, while Aegean Destiny may get involved after making the frame over 2m at this track last time.
