        Verdict

        The Stoute and Johnston yards have won six of the last 10 renewals between them and their respective runners could end up fighting this one out. A potential problem with Cottesmore is his poor efforts on Turf either side of a second on the Polytrack at Lingfield when he had Al Mamzar three lengths behind. GALLEON's recent second also came on the all-weather but he ran well at Sandown last year and the return to this surface should be no problem for the Freemason Lodge colt. The remainder have shown little to recommend them with recent selling hurdle winner Father Shine making his belated debut on the Flat.
