Verdict

Mick Slates scored over track and trip last month but his current mark and the fast ground don't look a good combination for him. IRRATIONAL was well beaten over today's trip back in May but has since finished a close-up fourth over 6f at this track and gets another chance now he appears to have hit form. Mad For Fun is another to consider on her earlier short-head defeat over C&D while Eastlands Lad also went very close here last month albeit in soft ground and he never figured in better company at York last time.
