        Verdict

        Declan Carroll's Amoureuse is only 1lb higher than when scoring at Carlisle in August and has obvious claims at the weights but is probably better on faster ground and preference is for BARRALAND. George Baker's gelding should be fine with the underfoot conditions being by Compton Place, has been given a chance by the handicapper and has the bonus of having the decent Simon Walker in the plate. Dianne Sayer's Hot Rod Mamma deserves to take a hand in the finish having been running well in defeat in recent starts but would probably want quicker going and of more interest may be David O'Meara's Fashion Icon, who is 3lb higher than when winning at Doncaster in July although she is another that may prefer the ground to be faster.
