Verdict

ASK JENNY hasn't proved easy to win with but Shane Kelly could be the right man to get a good tune out of her and she's taken to prevail from Maison Dieu and Conjecture. The selection has been running consistently but hasn't won in over a year now and has no secrets from the handicapper. She has, however, given the impression that she could score again if all the cards fall right and her jockey is well suited to this type of horse. Conjecture's chances are improved by his pilot's claim, Maison Dieu has been running well enough to think that he can be involved whilst the ex-Irish Desert Ben could be a different proposition now that he has got a run under his belt. A claiming win may have sufficiently boosted Blue Noodles' confidence to enable him to hold his own back in the handicap ranks but of more interest is Royal Acclamation who has slipped to a good mark and is partnered by the only jockey to have won on him; the fitting of a visor could halt his downward spiral. Typically competitive fare but Ask Jenny is unlikely to be far away at the finish.
