In depth

Verdict

Abit Irish has leading claims, Smart Man, That's Racing and Falcon's Tribute are others well worth considering but we like the look of Paddymcgintysgoat Admittedly, the selection showed remarkably little in his first four career starts but his latest run, which came over course and distance on fast ground, suggested that he may have a future. It was a fair novice heat and he stayed on quite well from off the pace to finish about twenty lengths off the lead. Clearly, he needs to step up on that form but he may well be able to do so now that he embarks on his handicap career. Red O'Donnel is another newcomer to handicapping for whom support would be of interest but Abit Irish has a clear chance, despite his penalty, following his win at Exeter and he may be able to build on it. Smart Man is another with leading claims if a rare below par run can be forgiven while That's Racing, Falcon's Tribute and Silver Seeker are others to show up on the radar but Paddymcgintysgoat may be able to find sufficient improvement to hold them all at bay.
