Verdict

Another poor contest and though Goodness is likely to be fancied a record of two places from 13 starts hardly inspires confidence in the top weight. Coax was beaten a head by Politbureau at Newcastle last month so a big run from the winner in the first division will point to his chances but it's the veteran EIJAAZ who is given the nod. Geoff Harker's charge has won no less than seven times on this track on all kinds of going and though most have been at a lowly level this isn't much better than a seller. Dimashq has also won her fair share of moderate contests but like Operateur she's been badly out of form.
