In depth

Verdict

Don Pasquale, Turn of Phrase and Press Express catch the eye here, and Don Pasquale is taken to complete the hat-trick. Any rain would help Turn Of Phrase's chances. He ran well on his second outing of the season when finishing a staying on second on testing ground at Newcasle last week. He won there in September in testing conditions, and has been placed in six of his last nine starts. Any rain would be welcomed to enhance his chances. Press Express won a seller at Leicester before chasing home Charlotte Vale at Thirsk. Charlotte Vale has franked the form at Hamilton on Friday night, and Press Express holds good credentials and can go well. Don Pasquale had not run on Turf since October 2005 when losing his maiden tag after 26 previous attempts, when scoring at Nottingham last month. To show that was no fluke, he followed up at Beverley in good style. The fourth home that day has franked the form with a win since, and Don Pasquale can complete the hat-trick.
