The History Man, Mr Cheers and Fancy You are the three to concentrate on here and the vote is given to The History Man. The selection is not entirely straightforward and hung badly when a beaten favourite at Doncaster last time. The ground was too firm for him that day but it will be more suitable today and if he can reproduce his promising debut effort at Doncaster then he should take plenty of beating. Mr Cheers has shown promise on both of his runs to date, although he failed to improve for his debut when a slightly disappointing fifth behind Lyrical Blues. He will need to improve to score here but that is not entirely out of the question and he is respected. Fancy You plodded on at Pontefract on his debut when fourth behind Penny Whisper and if he comes on for that debut effort then he could have place prospects. A market move for any of the newcomers would be of interest as some leading yards are represented here, but we are happy to stick with The History Man as our idea of the winner.
