In depth

Verdict

This race is all about Shyrl, and if Simon Callaghan's filly runs anything like it can do then this should be a procession. The Acclamation filly progressed from a pleasing Windsor debut to finish runner-up to Langs Lash in the Group 2 Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot last time out, and that form is a country mile better than what anything else has achieved here. If she turns up and there are no mishaps she looks a shoo-in to break her maiden. Hysterical Lady is likely to complete the forecast provided she can build on a decent debut run at Carlisle. Dandy Nicholls' yard is going well so there is every chance that she can. Impressible was not far away at Chester and is another highly likely to improve while both Mo Mhuirnin and First Choice need to show us more. Wotatomboy is perhaps the most interesting of the newcomers but it would be a major shock if anything were good enough to beat Shyrl.
