Verdict

BRAVE SPARTACUS can edge this if suffering no ill-effects from his fall at Sedgefield. He was clear of the field on that occasion before tumbling at the last fence and can add to his earlier C&D victory with a clear round. Ormus won at Hexham when last seen on the track last June but Classical Mist has the more recent form with a victory over track and trip last month and she makes more appeal. Alpha One only just failed to follow-up his Sedgefield win when finding Monarch's Way too good at Musselburgh recently and is preferred to Tommysteel who landed a couple of hunter chases back in May.
