Verdict

HEEZ A STEEL looks well treated and gets the vote to land the finale at the expense of More Equity and Rare Coincidence. The selection is still winless in nineteen starts which is a concern, however his recent from looks the pick on paper. He finished an eyecatching second behind Breakwater House at Kelso last time out and he is only one pound worse off for that performance. If he recaptures that form then he ought to be good enough to break his maiden tag. More Equity will pose as the main danger having won back to back races at Hexham and Cartmel. He is now thirteen pounds higher in the weights since the first of those wins and it will remain to be seen if he is now within the grip of the handicapper. Rare Coincidence has been a good servant to his connections over the years winning sixteen races in total. He did run with respect when finishing third at this venue last month but improvement will be required. Heez A Steel is in great form of late and takes preference to land the finale.
