BACHOTHEQUE was runner-up to both Rosdhu Queen and Blaine last month. That pair both won Group 2 races at York last week so Tim Easterby's colt is surely good enough to land an ordinary maiden, though he has been a beaten favourite in three of his five starts. New Rich was well behind the selection on debut but improved to finish third at Pontefract on his second start while Star Request has hinted at ability and could make the frame. The others with experience appear modest, however, and newcomers Clarendale and Stagweekend may need more time.
