Verdict

Richard Fahey runs four in this maiden and it would appear that Signoret, third over 5f here on debut, is the form pick, though Tony Hamilton gets off her to ride the colt Phoenix Storm. He was last on his debut at York but that was a better race than this. Summer Times was placed on his first three starts and failed to settle over 7f at Newcastle last time. But he is becoming expensive to follow and CHARLIE CROKER may improve past the Johnston colt. He kept on well over 5f at Pontefract on his first start suggesting this extra furlong would suit. Shootingsta has a speedy pedigree and may benefit from a drop back to 5f.
