      Verdict

Another very tough puzzle for punters to solve as a few of these have been disappointing so far this term but are well handicapped on their best form. Franciscan is a prime example being 2lb lower than his last winning mark. Spanish Duke usually takes on stronger opposition but Calaf may be the best of Brian Ellison's quartet. Warlu Way, just caught in a valuable ladies' race at York 11 days ago, and Thirsk third War Poet are other to consider but Northside Prince struggles to get his head in front and this looks too sharp for Ethics Girl. AAZIF is a very similar type to Lexi's Boy, who won this last year for Donald McCain. Successful twice over hurdles at Sedgefield last month and just beaten in a decent handicap over timber at Aintree recently, he looks well treated back on the Flat and can take this.
