Verdict

This looks more open than the first division but TALENT SCOUT is taken to defy top weight. Tim Walford's charge has been very lightly raced and was having just the 12th run of his career when storming to victory at Redcar and a 5lb rise looks manageable. Justin Newman was on board when Master Leon scored a Hamilton and his claim will be invaluable and though it was only a seller that Escape Artist won at Thirsk he'd been successful in a Redcar handicap earlier. Machir Bay is still a maiden but getting closer to that elusive first success judged on his latest run at Hamilton.
