      Verdict

      Riotous, My Valerina and Dispol Splendid look the three to concentrate on in this trappy opener and the narrow vote is given to Riotous. The selection was a fair second behind Dimboola last time out. That form has since been franked and under similar conditions here and from a good draw he looks the value bet in an open affair. My Valerina rates the main danger on her latest second behind Wi Dud, but she has had plenty of chances without taking one and is opposed for that reason. Dispol Splendid is another worthy of respect as she is a well bred Raise A Grand filly and hails from a yard in top form so should be closely watched in the market, however the suspicion is she will be seen to better effect over a longer trip in time. Of the remainder, La Esperanza looks the stables second string on jockey bookings and with this in mind for the winner we return to Riotous to small stakes.
