Verdict

Acordingtoscript's run earlier in the day will be a pointer to the chances of Swift Arrow, who beat Martin Todhunter's recent acquisition in a point-to-point at Kinsale in October. Alan Swinbank's bumper runners are always to be feared here but Barseventytwo needs to step up on his Newcastle debut in February to figure while Brindisi Breeze and Karinga Hey were both beaten favourites last time. Sands Of Vatersay has claims on her third at Aintree and it will be interesting to see if there is any support for newcomer Brieryhill Boy but ASHES HOUSE hasn't been sent up from South Wales for the good of his health. A 20-length winner at Ffos Las, his undoubted stamina will be an asset here.
