In depth

Verdict

Should Directa's Digger take his place here after a fine effort at York on Friday, he is likely to take all the beating here. Held up in that York event, he made very smooth headway and looked the most likely winner at one point in the straight. There were some progressive stayers in that field at York and Directa's Digger looks a horse on the upgrade. Josh You Are hails from the Michael Wigham yard and market support would be significant. He achieved his most recent all-weather victory off this mark. Pegasus Prince tackles this trip for the first time and was an easy winner of a Southwell handicap last time out. This will be much tougher though while the disappointing Evilith Regent is best watched now after disappointing efforts of late. Directa's Digger is our pick to land the finale.
