Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

Another Mattie is still a maiden after 17 carer starts and doesn't appear to be getting any closer. Vinny Gambini has won over hurdles here and hasn't been beaten far in both starts over timber so may be capable of better. NO DEAL had a two-year break before returning with an encouraging run at Ayr last month. He's won over three miles as a hurdler and has the scope to go on to better things. Ravens Brook is just 2lb higher than when landing a handicap at Bangor last April while if the ground came up testing then course and distance winner Romany Ryme would have to be considered. Bennys Well is on the same mark as when scoring here in November so is another to note in an open contest.
