Verdict

Another wide open affair in which many would have chances at there best. Weet A Mo, Highgate Hill and Downtime are all sure to have there supporters but we prefer to take a chance on Raoul Dufy. The gelding from the Paul Cole yard was a good second behind Caroubier last time and although he is taking a drop in trip this stiff track should help. Weet A Mo was a fair third behind Tropical Coral last time out and a reproduction of that would see him go close. Highgate Hill was a fair fourth in a maiden behind Namroud last time. He is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement, and he could have been let in lightly for this his handicap debut.Downtime has a similar profile to Highgate Hill but he gave the impression he would be seen to much better effect over a longer trip last time. Inch Island is also worthy of consideration on his best form but his best efforts have come with more cut in the ground. Of the remainder Rookwith and Bow Sprit are from yards in good form and a worth a cautionary look in the market.
