In depth

Verdict

Bertie MIlan is on the same mark as when successful here a year ago and he'll appreciate dropping back to this grade after recent runs at a higher level. Mortimers Cross is well treated if able to recapture his best form though a longer trip appears to be required these days. King's Grace was undoubtedly fortunate to win at Sedgefield on Boxing Day though that was his first start May and he should have come on for the run. Etxalar loves this track and gained a smooth victory here in December before pulling up in a better race at Newcastle. Royal Sam hasn't shown much BALTIC PATHFINDER ploughed through the Sedgefield mud to score by 20l last month and with conditions in his favour again he's taken to defy a 5lb rise in the weights.
