In depth

Verdict

Alderbrook Lad adapted to heavy ground at Catterick with a fine front-running display and is on a hat-trick. An 8lb rise makes this tougher but Joe Colliver's claim is a bonus. SUPREME ASSET has yet to score over fences but his turn isn't far off judging by his fine run when attempting to concede Bobcatbilly 11lb at Haydock. He only faded close home over that 2m4f and can get off the mark. Clondaw Knight made a winning debut over fences at Kelso in November where he had today's rival Suprise Vendor 4l behind. The latter subsequently completed a double but was a long way behind Alderbrook Lad at Catterick.
