In depth

Verdict

Party Royal came here for the Carlisle Bell and ran quite well to finish fourth but not so well on a return visit in July. Jacob Black made all in a Hamilton maiden and completed a double in a handicap over this track and trip before a disappointing effort at Catterick. Alquimia has been performing at a slightly higher grade recently but is still 8lb higher than her only success at Haydock in May while An Chulainn has only won on Polytrack and continues to be beaten in lower grade events from this mark. That leaves CORREGGIO and it's Micky Hammond's charge who gets the vote as though he's probably better over slightly further he's on exactly the same mark as when successful over the trip at Pontefract in April and Jack Garritty's claim is a bonus.
